Description
Reporting to Head of Functional & Knowledge Management, the position of Instructional Designer is held accountable to develop training material and solutions for business utilizing the latest XR instructional design methodologies supporting adult based learning.
Key Result Areas (All Roles):
1. The XR Instructional Designer is responsible for creating immersive learning experiences using Extended Reality (XR) technologies, including Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR), and Mixed Reality (MR).
2. Held responsible for designing instructional methods in compliance with the learning methodology, desired learning outcomes and the content input by SMEs. Also required to ensure that the appropriate tools and practices are implemented to build engagement and
continuous improvement.
3. Design and develop learning solutions, leveraging tested XR instructional design theories, practices, and methods to create learning activities that are engaging, activity-based, and results-oriented. Recommend changes to existing courses, including technology or
instructional methods, to better adhere to delivery options for the course.
4. The Instructional Designer will collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) and other stakeholders to ensure that training content is accurate, relevant, and up-to-date.
5. Utilize authoring tools and software to develop e-learning modules and other digital training materials.
6. The job holder works independently in day-to-day operational matters however decisions on the non-routine/policy matters can be taken only in consultation with and approval by Head Functional & Knowledge Management.
7. The job holder has no people management responsibilities.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
1. Minimum bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design/Educational Technology/Computer Science or equivalent.
2. Minimum 7 (seven) years of demonstrated experience in instructional design and/or curriculum design, including the design and delivery of online and hybrid courses.
3. In-depth knowledge of adult based learning theories and instructional design models.
Lesson and curriculum planning skills.
4. Ability to write effective instructional text, audio and video scripts.
5. Thorough understanding of learning management systems is crucial.
