Job Summary / Purpose

The company launched an IT Enablement initiative to carve out systems from EMIT, and establish standalone systems and processes designed specifically for LNG export operations in a green field environment.   The IT Enablement initiatives will utilize current cloud technology and Software-as-a Service to the extent possible.  The company's IT professionals will focus on strategic initiatives and business differentiators, and manage service providers to maintain systems and perform recurring, tactical tasks.

The Solution Architect will report to the Manager of ERP and Applications.  The Solution Architect will collaborate with the Manager and cross-functional teams to provide leadership and implementation of the ITE projects.

Essential Duties / Functions

  • Lead integration of systems and data between corporate IT systems, Pipeline, and Plant systems with focus on cyber security and lowering total cost of ownership
  • Provide architectural assessments, strategies, and roadmaps for systems implementation
  • Provide input to the development of Gate Review Materials including objectives, scope, approach, estimates and deliverables
  • Define technical evaluation criteria for product and technology selection and determine technical approaches to ensure solutions result in a coherent systems design
  • Collaborate with business users to understand functional requirements and provide direction to vendors to architect, design, develop, test, and release features
  • Review and approve 3rd-party vendor product integration and solution architecture based on established enterprise application strategy
  • Guide creation of project and application architecture deliverables that are consistent with architecture principles, standards, methodologies and best practices
  • Assess the systems architecture currently in place and provide improvement recommendations
  • Define Master Data Governance policies and procedures and lead implementation work efforts. Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure adherence to the data governance policies and procedures
  • Create High level design documents for necessary Master Data Management services and data attributes
  • Lead development of dashboards for enterprise performance management. Collaborate with business stakeholders to define the KPIs, identify data sources and lead vendor teams to deliver dashboards that meet stakeholder requirements. Oversee support after implementation
  • Provide supervision and guidance for implementation and support vendors
  • Manage software vendors and Managed service providers to ensure they meet defined SLAs
  • Lead resolution of integration and Master Data issues
  • Single point of contact for resolving systems integration and Master Data Management issues
  • Demonstrate broad solutions technical leadership, impacting significant technical direction, exerting influence outside of the immediate team and driving change

Minimum Requirements

Minimum education required of the position

  • Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems or equivalent experience

Minimum experience required of the position

  • Minimum 10 years of experience with diverse business, and information technology experience
  • Strong Understanding of holistic enterprise architecture, Master Data Management and interplay of analytical components with enterprise foundational components (data architecture/governance, security, etc.)
  • Hands on experience integrating Plant IT systems (DCS, Plant Data Historian, LIMS, Reliability Management, etc.) with Corporate IT systems
  • Experience developing policies and procedures and implementing them
  • Strong working knowledge of Master Data Management concepts and technologies
  • Strong working knowledge of data modeling techniques and writing business requirements
  • Experience working in Azure or AWS platforms
  • Experience managing and providing direction to vendor teams
  • Hands on experience integrating systems across Cloud platforms and SaaS solutions
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience working in a green field company is a plus
  • Recent LNG export or process industry experience is a plus

  • Normal office environment with occasional visits to terminal and pipeline facilities

Physical Requirements

  • Possible climbing, moving, and walking long distances, wearing fire-retardant clothing, hard hat, and goggles when visiting Terminal or Pipelines
